No--we are a guild, and thus a community:
Our enchanters enchant things for free with mats-- I personally would help any alchemist get their potion formulae (Esp Major Mana Pot). Would I get extra DKP for helping an alchemist get his recipes, or sending an enchanter iron bars and Dark iron residue for Thorium brotherhood rep? PS and ToJ have a system where everyone gives the engineer 50s if he brings out a repair bot...since they cost so much to make. In short we would all be benefitting from each other OUTSIDE of raids and thus I do not see the point in handing out DKP bonuses to guildies who are providing the guild with products such as these--furthermore it frowns upon those guildies who solely have gathering professions which are needed to supplement the crafting professions.

ok well i did not that this into consideration when i saw this idea in another guild., and sig you brought up a big value that i forgot to include when i was tossin this around. and that value is that we are a community that helps eachother out without askin anything in return. just like silver and sig helped me with a recipe that i can use to make regeants for the guild, and as far as the other guildies that dont have the trade skills to benefit a raid that would be discrimination. and also this idea would make it harder to get dkp up and workin so scratch that lol. to everyone happy hunting.
P.S. if i offended anyone with this i am sry. dont want it to look like i was tryin to get an edge, we are all equal players

Guys I have enjoyed this discussion and I hope once we look over a few systems we can get on vent and really hash things out. I agree I have seen people leave over DKP points in PS ... but I have seen others come over because of how successful PS is with MC.... I never have to worry about DKP anymore do to the fact that we get over 20 epics a week to drop for us it did however take a little time to get to that point... Guilds that farm MC can run the instance in one day drop every boss and end up with about 30 epics a run.
So no matter what system we decide to use the biggest thing to remember is that it goes slow in the begging and picks up the more we learn and the faster we get.
So all I will tell anyone is to please be patient at the begging I have seen plenty of guilds fall apart when it comes to this ..... If a system is not working I know for a fact that Dino and Myself will go out of our way to get it correct and make it the most fair for all.
Remember the plan is to just work on trash mobs in the begging just working on working together and getting the pulls all the way down. Once we move on to bosses and the raid leaders have learned all we can about each boss fight to make us even better we will be ready for bosses and not fall apart because we couldn't get past a certain point.
I really do look at the guys in HC as if they where my own and will do anything for you guys whenever I can... meaning I will always treat HC and TOJ guild members the same.

make sure to set a date for the Vent discussion in the forums, or maybe officer forums. I havent been on in a week or so, because my current PC is messing up, but i can still be on vent. My new PC parts should be here tomorrow and i will be on tomorrow night or friday at the latest, so keep me up to date on when this will happen. That said, DKP is one of the most important things we will have to set up for this guild. If we do not have a fair system, then we will not succeed as an MC/ZG/Onyxia guild. If people don't feel like they are being rewarded for their performance, then they will find guilds that do have a more fair DKP system . However, not to be the voice of doom, we can construct a DKP system very easily. If any of you have friends in guilds that are doing raids with DKP, please invite them to the Vent discussion so we can get some outside input from people who have been successful in MC etc. I have a friend who was in Carnage even before they became end-game, and only left when they did a server transfer, because he wanted to stay on Burning Blade since he knew people here. I plan on asking him about DKP, since to me it is easier to have someone give me an explanation than read about it online. I am planning on inviting him to the vent, so he can share his views on DKP, and explain how Carnage did it, since they were a very successful end-game guild.

also, under NO CIRCUMSTANCES are we to adopt the system legacy has. they collect 50DKP per hour in MC, this is REWARDING people to PROCRASTINATE. VERY BAD IDEA!

ascended go by hour as well.. but we wanna get in and out as soon as possible.. because we know that after say 6 hours in mc people will leave.. and also.. we have a raid leader who controlls the pace.. and who makes sure we finish as fast as possible.. and if someone is wiping a raid on purpose.. well.. i would assume they would be guildless and i know you were joking

My hunter is parked in MC collecting DKP for the last few months ;D
But seriously, lets first try/test out a DKP system before we turn it on. So we will have to settle for Master Loot/roll hax for now ;D

My other guild has a 2 week trial period for new members (timmolios they were called) and in this 2 week trial they could sign up as ALTS only, as in, backup dkp, if the right amount of people did not show up, the alts were called upon, but, they were also not allowed to roll/bid dkp on any item for the 2 week trial, also, if they were an alt, and did not get to go, they would still get DKP for the night, but only half the amount of dkp everyone else got, provided they were on for the duration of the Raid, just in case someone in their class had to leave and the alt could fill in, but when a timmolio was in a raid group, he/she would get all the DKP , but still not able to roll until the two weeks was over.
i know i repeated a few bits , but i felt it necessary.

Also, this is a trust issue but, the looting was on FFA and done ONLY by a select group of people, so when BOE epics dropped or lava/fiery cores dropped, the designated people would collect them and sort out who wins the boe epic.
For cores however, it is up to HIgh council on whether or not they want to let guildies roll on it, or collect them to make epic fire resist gear. I dont know if anyone has any patterns or plans for fire resist gear but collecting cores for the future would help.

Avandria, good ideas. I think we need to figure that out. Maybe we just send it to the guild bank and sort it out later until we have a person that can make stuff identified.

i think i would prefer a master looter to a FFA looting, not that i don't trust people, its just ALOT harder to have accidents (or "accidents") that way. and also you have one person controlling the DKP bidding or rolling or w/e, seems simpler that way

I think for fire and lava cores, we go this way:
Split the raid group into three groups (Blacksmiths, Leatherworkers, Enchanters)
We do a round robin type deal amongst the groups, and /random for each person in the group to determine who gets it (maybe cost like 1 dkp? I heard these things drop pretty consistently). To be eligible for rolling on the cores, you must have honored with Thorium Brotherhood.

lol well w/e, you got the idea behind my post. We should obviously balance it for how much each profession needs--that way for like engineering, which doesnt need as many we dont have flame hoarding them all +22 Int ftw
